Conclution

In conclution I learned a lot in this course ,it also helped me gain more knowedge on the insite of others individual thougths and views on imigration and people who imigrate. It also made me think and reflect on my onwn fellings as asn immigrant myselft and it made me want to give a little of my time to individuals who are new to Canada to help them settle in my church and in my comunity.

Over all I found the course to be very interesting and rich whit material and class discucions that I in particular enjoyed vey much, I hope that this course would carry on the next up comming winter semester and give individuals who take for granted the efforts of immigrants,to get by on daily baisis an inside look of the challenges and different, types of emotions and barriers that in particular times such as the Holy Day many have to spend alone in Canada because they are separated from thier family and culture.

Picture Documantary

For our final assignment for our class we had the opportunity to choose a topic of our interest and put together a picture documentary.I thougth that it was a very interesting way of finishing this course due to the fact that the entire course is based in culture and the migration of individuals around us.

I decided to put together a picture documentary on some of the street scene that I pass through almost everyday on my way to Eglinton West subway station I took mainly pictures of restaurant and vendors from different parts of the world and I reflected in the fact that some many countries and cultures can be seen on my way to work and school.

Often I go by this places, but I never take the time to noticed or pay attention to the different types of food and people form different places that can be found in a stretch of just one block. I guess is one of the many advantages that living in a multicultural city like Toronto has to offer, but many like me that go by these places all the time never stop and take the time to notice it.

Borders

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fppe85TQ9Fcn
I  crossed many borders in my life time, for vacationing purposes and also for a better future. I wanted to share this short documentary ,which I found to be very interesting. It show us how so many people are welling to risk their life's for  a better future, and it makes me reflect on how some times I over hear people on campus complain about assignments and their work life even though we are fortunate to receive an education and reside in this great country.
